Luipaardskloof Karoo Lodge is situated on the Keurkloof Road approximately 35 km from the quaint village, Matjiesfontein in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Tucked away between hills and plains it is the perfect hide-a-way for those who seek to escape from commanding lifestyles. The farm is only accessible by vehicles with a certain ground clearance, preferably 4×4’s. We do experience flash floods affecting the tracks . Bring your recovery kit and a spade. It might not be needed but rather be prepared.
We accept bookings for one group of friends or family at a time. It is ideal for a group of up to ten friends or five couples, as the kitchen, dining and recreation rooms are shared by all.
Every visit is tailor made to the specific needs of your group, therefore after initial contact via email, further arrangements are made by a telephone or WhatsApp call (international guests) with the proprietor personalising the experience .
To blend in with nature, our self catering accommodation has a rustic feel.
The farm is completely off the grid. There is limited solar generated, battery stored electricity, supplying lighting, device charging and Wi-Fi at the Base Camp. There is a TV in the recreation room with DSTV sport channels available.
Cell phone signal across the farm is limited. At the base camp WhatsApp calls via satellite Wi-Fi is the only means of connectivity.
